It’s amazing how I had this post drafted up way before now and even wayyyy before I went to LFWeekend last year! Then during the catwalk, Flare jeans were predicted as one of the top trends for AW15 but of course I always tend to embrace trends right when the hype is about to die out – So here’s my interpretation of this trend for this chilly winter season!
Before last year, my last recollection of this trend was sometime in the late 90’s and early in the new millennium. I remember this quite vividly because I had these purple shimmery-bootcut trousers back then and I loved them so much! I was about 7 or 8 and I wore them everywhere – literally! I was at that age when your mum begins to let you choose your own clothes and like most kids, I always chose my favourite item – My purple bootcut trousers (Can you relate to this?). I’m not too sure what happened to them and how they finally left my wardrobe but I remember I wore it so much my mum threatened to burn it or shred it to bits. It made me so scared I don’t think I wore it again until it got so small all because of the fear of her getting rid of my favourite item! – I don’t think she meant it though ^_^
Luckily for me, it’s back in style now and once again, I’m loving it ( I just have to adjust this pair just a little bit and it’ll be perfect! #ShortGirlProblems )

For this look, I paired my bootcut jeans with an old jumper I got last winter from Primark and some Geometric-studded court heels from Kurt Geiger. I absolutely love this look because it makes me feel so… ermmm… Mature #lol. My friend, Anthonia, who took these pictures actually said it’s such an old school look and looks like something my mum would wear – but that’s the point! Bringing old trends back!
P.S. – My mum is quite stylish so I didn’t take any offence from that statement! ^_^
