Style || You’ve never seen a kimono worn like this!

Year in year out, there are some items I always invest in and a kimono is one of those items; Just the same way you buy a new pair of sunglasses each summer or a new coat in the winter. It’s not necessarily because they are the most essential piece of clothing in your wardrobe, but because of the versatility that comes with them. In each of my styling tip posts which you can view here, the common theme between them is versatility, how to switch up your looks in seconds and key pieces that will make your wardrobe more versatile than it already is and as you already might have guessed, a Kimono is one of those versatile, outfit switching key pieces.

So to buttress my point, here are 3 ways you can rock your kimono this summer!

#Look 1

This look is smart and very fashion forward. It’s an outfit for those who are fashion savy and love to be daring with their style. A collard shirt topped with a kimono makes for the perfect boss lady smart look and is perfect for attending business meetings where making a fashion statement is of importance.

#Look 2

I call this the festival look. Of course you probably won’t be wearing a pair of heels to a festival #lol but the general feel of the outfit gives off that vibe. Tying up your kimono in a knot in front of you to imitate a jacket makes it perfect for casual outfits.

#Look 3

Last but not the least on the list (Did I you see what I did there ^_^ #Wordplay) is the date night look. A simple cami dress worn with a kimono gives your outfit a very flirty feel. This can also be worn on a night out with your girls and will leave you looking fab without trying too much

Which outfit’s your fave?
